Kevin Feige Finally Confirms SPIDER-MAN 4 Is In Development

After a few weeks of hints, confirmations and retractions, Kevin Feige has finally confirmed Spider-Man 4 is indeed in active development.

This comes after Sony's Amy Pascal "confirmed" that there would be a new trilogy starring Tom Holland, following Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, Pascal soon retracted her statement, revealing she got "in trouble"for the comments, something the notoriously secretive Kevin Feige most certainly wouldn't have been happy about.

But now, in a chat with the New York Times, Feige has finally put any doubts to rest, saying "Amy and I and Disney and Sony are talking about - yes, we’re actively beginning to develop where the story heads next, which I only say outright because I don’t want fans to go through any separation trauma like what happened after 'Far From Home,'" before continuing "That will not be occurring this time."

Amy Pascal also chimed in, although if you haven't seen Spider-Man: No Way Home yet, you may want to stop reading here.

SPOILERS AHEAD

"At the end of the movie we just made, you see Spider-Man make a momentous decision, one that you’ve never seen him make before. It’s a sacrifice. And that gives us a lot to work with for the next film."

Although he hasn't been confirmed yet, it's highly likely that Tom Holland will return, although it might be a little while as he may want to take a break. Afterall, he's made 6 movies as Peter Parker / Spider-Man in 5 years and he deserves a little time off! Less certain is whether director Jon Watts will return although with him being confirmed as the director of Fantastic Four, it seems like a safe bet to say his time as Spider-Man director is done.
