2022 is finally done, but before we look forward to whatever 2023 brings us, here's a look back at the major news stories from the Spider-Verse in 2022!
January 2022
01/01/22 - Spider-Man: No Way Home passes $600 million at the U.S. domestic box-office. The film becomes the 12th biggest film of all time, taking $1.37 billion worldwide, whilst also passing Spider-Man: Far From Home, becoming the highest grossing Sony Pictures movie ever.
03/01/22 - Morbius is pushed back yet again. The third film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe was originally due for release on the 28th January but will hit cinemas on April 1st. This marks the seventh that the film starring Jared Leto has been postponed, which was originally due for release back in 2020.
07/01/22 - Andrew Garfield finally opens up about starring in Spider-Man: No Way Home, saying he wouldn't rule out a return but he "would have to feel very sure and certain in myself."
