The head of Sony Pictures, Amy Pascal, recently made headlines for announcing that a new trilogy with Tom Holland would take place after Spider-Man: No Way Home, something you'd imagine did not go down well with Kevin Feige, considering how he likes to keep his cards very close to his chest.
Now, speaking with Variety on the red carpet for the highly anticipated sequel, Pascal has retracted her statement somewhat, admitting she did indeed get in some for her comments. When asked to elaborate on her previous remarks, Pascal said "As long as [Holland] wants to make Spider-Man movies, we will make Spider-Man movies, but I'm a producer, and I always think everything's going to work out." When pressed about Tom Holland's return, Pascal replied "Don't get me in trouble again. If I have my way, we will."
We might have to wait a little while longer for official confirmation, especially as Holland has now appeared in 6 MCU movies in 5 years and may fancy taking a break for a while. Also, No Way Home hasn't even been released yet (one more day!), so who knows whats in store for us yet.
