Notorious Marvel scooper Daniel Richtman, who has posted many accurate rumours/spoilers in the past, has claimed that Venom 3 will likely "explore the multiverse" and will finally show "Spider-Man finally meeting and fighting Venom".
Given the mid-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home and the fact that we are very much into Marvel's multiverse era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony's Spider-Man Universe, Venom revisiting the multiverse is hardly a bombshell, but the fact that he could be facing off against Spider-Man is especially intriguing, especially as Eddie Brock returned to his universe (at least we think he did?) at the end of No Way Home.
Of course, this could all be a load of nonsense, as Venom 3 hasn't even been officially confirmed yet, although it's surely only a matter of time considering how well Venom: Let There Be Carnage performed at the worldwide box office, especially given the current circumstances.
Next up for the SSU is Morbius (January 28th 2022) which will see Jared Leto's Michael Morbius meet up with Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes / Vulture, reprising the role in some shape or form from 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be released on Blu Ray, DVD and 4K UHD on January 3rd 2022 and can be pre-ordered from Amazon here!
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is directed by Andy Serkis and stars Tom Hardy (Eddie Brock / Venom), Woody Harrelson (Cletus Kasady / Carnage), Michelle Williams (Anne Weying), Naomie Harris (Frances Barrison / Shriek), Reid Scott (Dan Lewis), Stephen Graham (Patrick Mulligan) and Peggy Lu (Mrs Chen)
